ASSESSMENT OF THERMAL ENERGY PERFORMANCE OF SWIMMING POOLS

Abstract. Introduction. This research work evaluates the results of a study of fuel and energy costs and thermal energy indicators of a heating system for an indoor swimming pool measuring 16x9 m in the city of Karshi.
Methods and materials. In the course of research, taking into account the heat loss of the pool, an equation for the heat balance of the pool was developed and analyzed to ensure the required temperature regime..
Results. Based on the results of the experiment, it was established that the total heat loss of the pool was 11.87 kW. It is calculated that 7.44 kW of the greatest heat loss is due to the evaporation of water from the pool, 0.45 kW of the least heat loss is due to radiation heat loss from the pool.
Conclusion. Based on the results of the experiment, the thermal energy performance of an existing swimming pool in the conditions of the city of Karshi was assessed. An existing heating system was proposed to improve the energy efficiency of this pool.
